ok i have tried and tried but i cannot succeed...i added the following to /etc/sysconfig/iptables:
-A RH-Lokkit-0-50-INPUT -p tcp -m tcp --dport 6891 -j ACCEPT
but no way does it work....any ideas?
let's then first make sure that this is your firewall that is bugging us.
this means, you should stop iptables and try then. if you have redhat, try
service iptables stop
if you have some other distro, try
and then try sending a file.
it may also be your ISP who is blocking the connection. in estonia, it's very common, one of the two leading ISPs offers an ADSL with all ports closed, except 113.
