MS Outlook Web Access

I am trying to access my outlook account through "smtp.website.com" since the company I work for disabled port 25 logging on through the browser is the only way to checking my mail. Can anyone tell me how to get the thing working with either Netscape 7.1 or Opera 7.23.

Here are the error messages I receive for Opera.
"the server requested a login authentication method that is not supported"

Why would you access your email I assume remotely from an smtp server? That's used for sending mail, not recieving. I'm sure you should have a pop or imap server setup to retrieve your email. Currently it seems your trying to use an smtp server that is not your ISP's, in which you will need to setup authentication to use, username/password that is. This helps prevent spammers from using smtp servers from outside their own networks, etc.

The administrator has pop and imap disabled outside the local network so the only way to retrive the mail is through an web browser using the Outlook web access. I can log in fine using IE to read and send mail, but when I am in Linux I run iin to this problem.

Now I understand what your trying.. I would imagine that Outlook Web Access is only supported using IE from what I know and seen.

try going to 2.2.2.2/webmail or 2.2.2.2/exchange

where 2.2.2.2 is the ip of your firewall at work (outside IP)

this is how we run our network exchange server for webmail...

is it a 5.5 or a nerwe exchange server?

I can access my OWA fine using Firefox 0.8 on slackware 9.1, however the "outlook bar" isn't as functional without all of IE's handy extensions.

All I can suggest is ensure you are connecting to the correct internet address for OWA and not the POP/SMTP server - it is normally sensible to have OWA running on a non critical server (i.e. the smtp or pop server)
