MS Access alternative
 

Yeah I need an open-sources alternative to MS Access, I thought open=office would have something like it, something that is format compatible with Access also becuase I've got to send in assignments in its format for my database class.

Also if anyone knows any cool data scheming programs, like MS Visio, for my EER diagrams and etc..............kinda don't want to hand draw them in Open Office like I did in MS Word.

openoffice 1.9 beta has a clone of access... have not used it in anger, but looks good.

there is dia for diagramming.

For the access programs, I know open office 2.0 has a database program, but I dont' know if it's compatable with .dba files. Might want to check out their website.

above post makes a good point... dia is a cool app
