Mplayer with FC1

I DL'd an MPlayer, but it turns out it was just for Debian. I have Fedora Core 1. Does anyone know where I can find MPlayer for Fedora?

yum is your friend

# yum search mplayer
:
:
Looking in installed packages for a providing package
Installed package: mplayer-gui.i386 0:1.0-0.lvn.0.4.pre3.1 matches with
mplayer-gui
Installed package: mplayer-fonts.noarch 0:1.1-0.lvn.3.1 matches with
mplayer-fonts
Installed package: mplayerplug-in.i386 0:2.11-0.lvn.2.1 matches with
mplayerplug-in
Installed package: mplayer.i386 0:1.0-0.lvn.0.4.pre3.1 matches with
mplayer
4 results returned

Based on the "lvn" part of the above lines looks like I got mine from the livna yum repository--not official Fedora, but they try hard to be compatible.

I've edited my yum.conf to include these lines:

[livna-stable]
name=Livna.org Fedora Compatible Packages (stable)
baseurl= http://rpm.livna.org/fedora/$releasever/$basearch/yum/stable
gpgcheck=1

[livna-unstable]
name=Livna.org Fedora Compatible Packages (unstable)
baseurl=http://rpm.livna.org/fedora/$releasever/$basearch/yum/unstable
gpgcheck=1

[livna-testing]
name=Livna.org Fedora Compatible Packages (testing)
baseurl=http://rpm.livna.org/fedora/$releasever/$basearch/yum/testing
gpgcheck=1

You may or may not want unstable and testing.

After editing yum.conf, then try "yum search mplayer" to see what's available and "yum install mplayer" to install.
