mplayer -vo aa questions


two questions
first of all mplayer -vo aa:help doesn't seem to work nor do any of the sub-obitons for -vo aa
i'm typing mplayer -vo aa:help
what's wrong?
second
is there a way to capture the frames output by aalib and build them into an mpeg? even if i have to mplex the sound in later that would be sweet, y? i dunno it just would

What's up, man? I'm glad to finally help you, because I think you helped me once. I believe you have to specify a video after aa:help. I tested it with mplayer -vo aa:help fn.wmv |less.

I'm not sure about building it into an mpeg. Sounds very possible, though. Probably something more complex than mplayer -v aa vid.avi >> vid.mpeg

I couldn't get -vo aa:help to work either. Also I found that any video I tried to play only showed 1/2 the picture (left to right). Any problems like that?
