Greetings,

I'm a bit new to linux so pardon my lack of experience.
I'm using Fedora Core 4 with Gnome.
I installed MPlayer and it seems like the installation went well.
However when I try to play an .mpg file, I receive the following error from MPlayer:

"error opening/initializing the selected video_out (-vo) device"

I'm not sure what MPlayer is trying to tell me. Can someone please explain the solution to this problem?

My system specs are:
-Dell latitude D800
-1GB RAM
-60GB Hard Drive
-Video Card: GeForce FX Go5650, 128MB
-Sound Card: Sigma Tel C-Major Audio
