MPlayer unable to find appropriate audio codec for avi file
XMMS can play .mp3 and .ogg files just fine, so I'm not exactly sure what other audio codecs I need, or where I can find them. I downloaded the all codec binaries from the mplayer website, and still nothing. Here's the error I receive:

- MPlayer crashed. This shouldn't happen.
It can be a bug in the MPlayer code _or_ in your drivers _or_ in your
gcc version. If you think it's MPlayer's fault, please read
DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports.html and follow the instructions there. We can't and
won't help unless you provide this information when reporting a possible bug.
alsa-uninit: pcm closed
It only happens with these files (DVD-rip of Stargate Season 2), and they work fine for the friend who ripped them for me. I'm not exactly sure what to do, so any help would be appreciated. |
