When you go to preferences in the video tab what output drivers do you see? Which one is highlighted?
|
well i found one that works thanks tho
was wondering whats with that blue line at the bottom of the video when you have it fullscreen? |
That's probably a place where you can move the mouse to active the menu or player. I'm not sure, though because it depends on your skin and I rarely use the gui.
|
no its like that in the non gui format too
..... |
it'll just be down to your choice of video output.. make sure you are using Xv if possible.
|
Well I've never had a blue line. Could be a number of things. My first guess would be your window manager. I'm guessing you use KDE? Try another and see if the problem persists.
Could also be your graphics driver and/or card. Which one are you using? See if there's another driver available. Could you also describe the blue line? How thick? How long? Is it uniform in width/thickness/colour? |
Try just loading up gmplayer then right clicking on the vid window and changing your Video Out preferences. If gmplayer loads up fine by itself, and mplayer can playback vids then you probably just need to change your preferences (same as "-vo" on the commandline)
