mplayer random song


is there any way to play random songs in mplayer.

cant i type mplayer *mp3 -somthing to play random mp3 files from that directory

Not sure of if mplayer has a random option, check the man pages, should tell you there.

You could also simply use mpg123 as I know it has a random option to play mp3's.

did you think about looking at the man page at any point?

gr8 help guys. I had completely missed this part(shuffle) in the man pages.
