mplayer plugin for wma files
I was trying to listen to music samples at barnesandnoble.com using mozilla with the mplayerplug-in. For the CD of interest, the files are in wma format. When I click on a song, the mplayer plug in opens and starts to download the file, but then says "connection refused". I booted my old laptop with Win 2000 on it and of course it works fine using windows media player. This is quite annoying, and in the past I thought barnesandnoble worked with mplayer
I have 2 questions: 1) Does anyone know how to get mplayer to work at barnesandnoble.com? 2) Does anyone know of a more linux-friendly retailer where I can buy my Christmas CDs? |
Well, in case anyone wants to know, I discovered cdnow.com (now part of amazon.com) has sample tracks that work with mplayerplug-in. That is now where my Christmas dollars are going.
