mplayer OSD problem


hiii to all

my problem is when i type command in console mplayer -menu zinda.mpg
it says
mplayer -menu zinda.mpg
MPlayer 1.0rc2-4.1.2 (C) 2000-2007 MPlayer Team
CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz (Family: 15, Model: 6, Stepping: 5)

Compiled for x86 CPU with extensions: MMX MMX2 SSE SSE2
OSD menu support was not compiled in.

and in my mplayer subtitle is also not working

plz be discriptive with your answer

i posted a thread but still the problem is there

If you installed MPlayer from a binary package in your distribution, you may find that there is a separate package that includes OSD menu support, that might be named something like mplayer-menu or similar. Try having a browse through the available packages in your distribution, or if you downloaded a binary of MPlayer from a website, have a closer look to see if there is a separate package you can download that includes OSD menu support.
