I tried installing the new Mplayer (1.0pre3try2) from the RPM. But I get following error. Am running Red Hat 9.0. Although the Grey Sector page says that the RPM is all that I need and that there are no other dependencies.
Quote:
warning: mplayer-common-1.0pre3try2-1.athlon.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 75aa026a
error: Failed dependencies:
mplayer = 1.0pre3try2 is needed by mplayer-common-1.0pre3try2-1
Distribution: Gentoo 2004.2: Who needs exmmpkg when you have emerge?

you should install mplayer from sources instead, you can enable all sorts of neat stuff like fb and aa output, joystick control..., even remote controls.
Thanks guys. I think I have this one sorted out now. Seems that there was a small detail I missed out. I hadn't downloaded the default skins package.
Anyways, thanks a million for the help.
Now I know where to run for my linux worries.
