Mplayer - I get sound, but no video

Ok here's what's going on, if I use mplayer to try to view this video (it's an svcd rip I believe) I get sound, but no video window - If I try running it with gmplayer I get about 1 second of sound, and a black video window and then it locks up completely - here are the error messages I'm experiencing.

I'm on day 5 of using linux and am really trying to figure this out but I think at this point I need a bit of help from someone with more experience. Any advice will help!

I'm using Redhat 9.

I have a codec for mpeg1/2 which is what svcd uses (I think), and I get either no video window at all, or a black video window that locks up mplayer in about 1 second (using gmplayer).

I had the same problem on my Red Hat 9, I went to MPlayer (www.MPlayerhq.hu) site again and downloaded RPM file and Installed it from there, very simple and working fine now. So give a try !!!
