Mplayer-function "pause" provokes CRASH

Hello

there's no problem with playing avi, mpeg-files, rewinding and fast forward...
Mplayer runs well ...Just the funtion "pause" doesn't run well. It's a notebook with Fedora Core2 on it. I use MPlayer 1.0pre5-3.3.3.

Well, as I said, all functions run well in MPlayer, exceptly the "pause"-function.

When I press the "pause"-button, firstly, the image freezes as it should, no Problem that far. But as soon as I repress the "pause"-button, following error occurs:

First message:

second one:
http://www.pablovschby.com/2.jpg

third one:
http://www.pablovschby.com/3.jpg

Again I press "ok" and MPlayer crashes down. I re-compiled MPlayer certain times, but nothing changed. Does anyone know about a bug?
Thanks for all kind of advises.

Does it crash if you pause it from the terminal mplayer instead of using gmplayer? Signal 11's are usually errors with memory.

Have you tried videolan vlc player, I had mplayer before, but it was hanging and eating up rescources...

Another solution is compiling without the gui support, that will free you some mem...

Good luck

Why do you think there is a problem with the performance?

I always ran gmplayer with another fedora core2 on that machine,... but since I've re-installed the distri, ... this problem occurs. I don't want to use mplayer itself, cause I like the functionality of fast forwarding and rewinding...

....aren't there other solutions, maybe?

It does the same on my FC3

gmplayer / mplayer does exacty the same on my PC under core 3. It was fine on core 2. The fault occurs no matter the video card, I have tried ati and nvidia cards.
