MPlayer error on DVD-Audio Disc

When I try and open up a DVD-Audio DVD on MPlayer and play it I get the following error

Too Many Audio Packets in the buffer: (4096 in 8257536 bytes)

Any ideas?

System specs are in the signature

This is a pure guess here. I'm keying in on the fact that you said you put in an Audio DVD. Perhaps the Audio DVD is in 24 bit audio? MPlayer may not support that. It supports MPEG2 video DVDs, but I think that sound on those is in regular old 16 bit CD quality audio. I've only gotten certain players to do 24 bit audio.

yes that DVD-Audio disc was infact 24-bit 96kHz audio. What player will play that quality sound? Thanks!

Did some research, found a discussion about it here:

http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/...hp/t22958.html

So as of about 8 months ago, there were no software decoders for DVD audio. This is different from normal 24 bit, there are plenty of players with that capability. I know that an earlier release of mplayer said it had "experimental" dvd audio support, but it doesnt sound like later versions kept it. Basically, I couldn't find for you. Sorry. It looks like you might have a tough time finding something.
