MP3 encoding with konqueror and RH 9
ok , found out that i can encode mp3's and ogg's with konqueror at this thread here
now, i know ogg vorbis is better, but the mp3 player in my car doesnt play 'em now this is where the problem starts, i have the ogg vorbis folder and the wav folder's but no MP3 folder i figure is just some stupid thing in redhat9 like the XMMS mp3 plug-in  so after much searching i cant find anything for it, so i was wondering if anyone knew what the problem is or.............. what do i need to get grip working, it says invalid encoder executable check your encoder config |
lame is the best mp3 encoder I know of. The --r3mix option works pretty well.
|
ok i think i have lame and cdparanoia installed, i did the ./configure make install, did i do that right?
but grip still says "invalid encoder executable check your encoder config", is something not set up right? |
You have to have the correct path to lame in Config->Encode->Encoder
|
yeah i have that right but it still does it :(
is there anything else that i have to configure? ** edit ** nevermind i had to set the path to cdparanoia too, i think its workin now , thanks for the help :) |
how do i configure lame and cdparanoia, they are running really slow, right around 1x for ripping and encoding
