mp3 & video


Hellooooooo again everybody-
i was searching for a good mp3 player and a good video player, but every player i get, just dont work. i dont know if in linux works whit codecs like windows, and that is the problem, but i still cant hear any of my mp3 or see any of mi videos (except for one or two). if anyone knows a good player please tell me.

http://mplayerhq.hu for video

http://xmms.org for sound

redhat have removed all mp3 and similar codecs from the versions of these programs that they distribute, so you will need to get them from other sources, or add the mp3 addon packges from xmms.org

if you are running RedHat linux 8.0 download this file to get xmms to work:
xmms-mpg123-1.2.7-21.i386.rpm

the file that cyber said is the file i meant. xmms.org
