Mp3's and RedHat 8.0?

Hey everyone...

I was reading an article in a magazine, actually a review on RedHat 8.0 in a back issue of a local magazine that we get here in South Africa, which raised a pretty interesting point... one that may actually solve a little problem I've been having with RedHat recently.

Apparently, RedHat decided to remove support for mp3's from 8.0, which may explain why I can never play any in xmms! The magazine did also state that the support files can be downloaded if need be but didn't place a URL in the article.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone may know more about this and where I might be able to get an rpm. I love my mp3's... can't work unless there's music in the background and at the moment... I'm not getting anywhere.

Thanks guys...

Hi. I forgot the reason why RedHat didn't include mp3 support. Although, it's like anything else... you can't make everyone happy.

I got this link from Xmms.

Good Luck
