Mozilla Problems on slackware 10
hello there, I'm running as said slackware 10
However, I'm having difficulties running Mozilla. I keep getting a "SEGMENTATION FAULT" error. What I've found about this is that somewhere in the C-program memory allocation goes wrong OR my font paths aren't accesible. In the first case, well I can't really help that, in the latter: I only have basic X11 fonts installed, could that be the prob? Anyway, I'm going to try by installing those fonts, and see what happens, however I would like to have a very basic install so I hope it's not the case. If you know any other reasons what moght be causing this, pleez let me know! thanx in advance |
What version of Mozilla are you using? Is it the latest official build or the one with slack?
|
The one for slack10 (1.7 I think, not sure)
however I managed to find the solution: a packet called x11-fonts-scale-6.7.0-noarch-1.tgz without this Mozilla won't start... however this is again a few megs of space... So I am wondering if there is a site, consortium, ... anything, that keeps a list of files needed by several programs...aka: a dependencies list. any help, greatly appreciated... |
