Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

OK It takes about 10 seconds for Mozilla Messenger to startup in mandrake 9.1 is there anything that could speed it up? Or is it like the rest of mozilla slow.... I kept having people tell me they were not receiving my emails so i started switching between Ximian and Mozilla with no complaints. Just as i was getting ready to get rid of kmail it just disappeared when i booted up the other day that was pretty cool. Has anyone else had problems with kmail?
Takes about a second or two here, though I am using Mozilla to browse right now so that might speed it a little maybe. What's your hardware?
Kmail just dissappeared? You mean the link, have you tried kmail in a terminal or via the Run... dialog?
Its a 800mhz P3 with a dual boot of windows 2000 on the primary part. all the other programs run fine just mozilla and mozilla messenger i am using konqurer as my browser though that could be one thing. And kmail is totally gone i can log in as another user gone no offense but i won't miss it. Mandrake 9.1 runs alot better than 9.0 if the only sacrifice is kmail i can deal with that.
