mozilla losing bookmarks
last night mozilla took a big dump, lost all my stored bookmarks, stored passwords, the theme i had installed is gone, etc.. the tabs won't let me add a link to them
any ideas? i run a Code:
rpm -qa | sort -o ~/rpmlist1.txt modutils-2.4.26-16 mozilla-1.6-8 mozilla-nspr-1.6-8 mozilla-nss-1.6-8 mpage-2.5.3-7 mtools-3.9.9-8 mtr-0.54-5 mt-st-0.7-13.1 mutt-1.4.1-6 mx4j-1.1.1-9 nano-1.2.3-1 nautilus-2.6.0-4 nautilus-cd-burner-2.6.0-2 nautilus-media-0.8.0-1 and in the list it only shows mozilla 1.6 i have 1.7 installed the mozilla documentation said to install it into the /usr/local/ file so thats where i put it. how can i get rid of 1.7 and gain my sanity back? |
So, I take it you used to Mozilla installer to Install 1.7? This would give you *two* versions of Mozilla. The one you installed with the mozilla installer would not show up in the rpm database.
If this is the case, just remove the /usr/local/mozilla directory. Then you will just have 1.6. Or to use 1.7, type the full path on the command line or change your icons links. |
