Directory Path Change:

I am using Mandrake 10.1 official.

The default mozilla-1.7.2 directory was located in /usr/lib/ when I installed Mandrake 10.1, and since I installed netscape in /usr/local/ and thought it would look nice if I move mozilla-1.7.2 also to this place, I moved it. Now the browser is not working.

I know once I move this back, it will work fine as I checked it. But wanted to know what to do if I have to keep this in /usr/local. Is there any config file or profile we need to edit so we can place this whereever we want.

Thanks for reading this. Please give me some hint how to do this.

I changed the title of this thread to Directory Path Change from Mozilla Directory Path Change just to see if more users browse the thread.

Now Netscape is also not working:

Now Netscape is not working. I reinstalled it and now I have netscape-installer folder in /opt, and I went inside and did a ./netscape-installer and got the pop-up window to install netscape. Then it gave me error which is given below:

MozPlugger: Failed to execute m4
Gdk-ERROR ** X Connection to :0.0 broken (explicit kill or Sever shurdown)

Please help me fix this problem.

Hmm. I never thought people here may not reply, I am replying myself. Forget about changing the directory. Put the mozilla back in whereever it was and be patient. :-)
