mozilla bookmarks..

i need an explanation of why i can't export my bookmarks in mozilla.. i go to bookmarks -> manage bookmarks -> tools -> export and click save.. still, no bookmark saved.. how can i fix this situation..?

are you trying to write them to a place that the user doesn't have write access?

heh.. i've questioned that myself.. it is in my /home/user directory.. ls -l shows user and group user(s)..

gimme try again.. nope, still not saving the bookmark.. btw, my distro is slackware 10.. there were a couple of things i chmodded before getting mozilla to work.. i don't think the browser is at fault when it is capable of bookmarking web pages but unable to export.. any ideas..?

i just tried it in slakware 10 and i don't get a file either. i bet that mozilla is messed up.

Just tried it now also and it works for me. Slack 10, Mozilla 1.7
Bookmarks > Manage Bookmarks > Tools > export

yeah. that's just what i did too. same versions, no file.
i guess that's 1 works, and 2 not works.
