mozilla and java

Hello world!

I tried to install a java plugin for mozilla as I wanted to use icq2go (just for managing my personal account I normally use gaim for chatting).
When opening the site mozilla sais it needs a java plugin and wants to download and install it. After downloading the file an error message appears ('installation unsuccessful').
So how can you integrate the plugin manually?

Thx
icecube

You download the JRE from suns site (version 1.3.2 will do it) and link from the plugin in the java directory to the plugind folder in the mozilla directory:

ln -s /usr/local/java/j2sdk1.3.2/plugins/libjava.so /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libjava.so
