Basically, the problem is in the title. I recently installed the Linux flash plugin for mozilla. However, on the installation it didn't recognise the directory /usr/lib/mozilla, so I installed the plugin in /usr/lib/mozilla-1.4 (what I think is the directory of the version of mozilla I use, the default version from the mandrake 9.2 ISOs).

So it's installed properly, and even turns up in the About > Plugins menu. However, Mozill astill can't play flash files for some reason, which is a pain. Does anyone know how to get Mozilla to recognise and use the plugin? Thanks.

Why dont u try to update your mozilla?

Put the flash plugin under .mozilla/pluguins in your home directry. (note the . on .mozilla)

I don't have a plugins dir under .mozilla in my home dir.

What if I want the pkugin available to all users of the machine?

What do you suggest?
