Mozilla 1.2.1 PSM problems
I just upgraded to Mozilla 1.2.1 (the special build with XFT support). I installed it by ignoring the dependencies with the --nodeps flag. I tried to go to a secure site and it said I didn't have the PSM installed. So I installed the PSM 1.2.1 RPM (the one supplied by Mozilla for the XFT-enabled browser). It still said the PSM wasn't there. I tried to install it again, and the computer indicated that it was already installed. When I tried to remove the package, it said that the package wasn't installed. What's the deal?

I'm in a similar boat, except that I installed from the installer tarball provided by mozilla, rather than from RPM. I tried installing from RPM, but I'm having a great adventure with depencies. Any idea if there's a tarball for PSM, or any such thing?
Thanks, Itzac P.S. this is under redhat 8.0 |
I tried to install from RPM. Had to force an install of glibc-2.3.1 and now I get a seg fault when I try to install all the mozilla packages. I think I may have goofed something up.
