mozilla 1.0 question
Anyone know how/what to modify so that clicking a link that spawns a new page opens the page in a new tab vs. a new browser? Preferably, I'd like to make any link I click (i.e. new window or same window) to open in a new tab. I'm sure the Mozilla guys created the option... I just can't seem to find it anywhere.

right click the link and select ->open in new tab
in ->edit/preferences/navigator/tabbed browsing, select load links in background, so that the new tabs load behind the current window. |
Edit > Prefs > Navigator > Tabbed browsing > Open tabs instead of windows for ...

Re: Reply 1... I know I can right click and choose Open in New Tab. I want it to do it for me. I'm lazy and don't want to have to click twice... :)
Re: Reply 2... I have 'em both checked and for some reason anytime I click a link that wants to open a new browser window, it does... instead of opening a new tab. I'm hoping for something in a conf file somewhere, etc that simply defaults the whole browser to open everything in tabs... |
Both? I get three checkboxes, although it could be due to my very recent version of Mozilla.

Under Open Tabs for, I see:
Middle-Click or control-click of links in a web page & Control-Enter in the location bar. What do you see? What version are you running? I just installed from the website 3 days ago... AD |
I have "Windows opened by the Web page" as well. I'm using a CVS build from 10/June/2002
