Moving Files to Vista (file size limit 2,097,152???)

I'm trying to move some files over to a computer running Vista (don't ask). The files I'm moving are images of DVDs and they seem to die at 2,097,152KB (2GB).

The Konqueror error I get is

Quote:

The process for the file protocol died unexpectedly."

Probably Konqueror is not compiled with large file support. If you are using SAMBA, it also needs to be re-compiled with large file support. If you do not want to re-compile them, split them into separate files and join them up on Vista.

Surely samba shouldn't need a re-compile - what about issuing the mount with the "lfs" option ???. Should fixit.

I just ended up splitting the files.

Thanks for the suggestions.
