move titlebar buttons to left side?

I often see screenshots of many different Window borders having the min/max/close buttons on the left side of the window like macs. My other computer is an apple powerbook, and it's kinda annoying to keep switching sides. I know this is all very easy on KDE, but I currently use gnome 2.7.x with metacity. (fedore core 3 test 2)

If anyone knows how to do this please respond, I've wanted to know how for so long.

thanks,
neonide

this theme seems to meet ur requirement...

GnoMetal
A mix of the MacOS X brushed and graphite looks.

this is a good site too... [www.gnome-look.org] there is a seperate section for metacity

BUT...
that's exactly what I'm talking about with the screenshots showing the buttons on the left side. This is one of the many "themes" offered where the author has the buttons on the left side, but then I download and install the theme and the buttons are on the right as usual. Does anybody actually know how to do this?

PROBLEM SOLVED.

I'll post this so others can figure this out in the future.

I had one of the theme authors email me back and tell me it's actually a metacity hidden option
Open up gconf-editor
go to apps--->metacity--->general--->button_layout
and I changed the value to "close,minimize,maximize:menu"

and Immediately my buttons are the same layout as my mac and I'm very happy :)
