Mouse Pointer while streaming HDMI from a camera


Hey guys, I'm looking for some help. I'm planning to use linux based iMX6 Rex board to receive an HDMI input from a camera, and display it real time on an HDMI TV. here's my question:

My main goal is to have a working, customizable mouse pointer showing on the TV while video is displaying, so I can use it as a guide tool to point certain areas in the video for people watching the TV.

As it is now, when outputing HDMI I have no mouse at all, All I can see is the video.

I would love some help as to what software I should install that enables me to do the above.
