Question Mounting a SMB share with unicode charachters

'ello

I'm trying to mount my Music collection on my windows-running gaming rig on my Linux box... The problem is, a good bit of the file names have foreign characters in them, and they show up as question marks.

The command I'm trying to use is
Code:
mount -t smbfs -o username=USERNAME,password=PASSWORD,iocharset=utf8,codepage=unicode //Rig/Music /music
(username and password removed)

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

i think samba is using unicode but your terminal emulator is using "locale"
might have to go back and
dpkg-reconfigure locales

I'm using Putty to ssh in, and I did set putty to use Unicode.

I ran dpkg-reconfigure locales, and selected all of the en_US and ru_RU charachter sets (it's russian charachters that I'm trying to get to display properly), and chose "en_US.UTF-8". Although its probably unnecessary, I restarted the machine.

Still question marks :-/
