mount / read GHOST gho without wine or vmare?

Is it possible or was the thing made of to many proprietary bits for any one to make a free reader for it?

I know you can wine the reader and also apparently vmware will read GHO's but that is not something I can pipe into dd or something.


Also did Symantec ever make a Ghost that ran on linux? (without wine)

... AFAIK: there are no free software norton-ghost readers. In general, we do not use Norton Ghost to clone drives - we use free software tools like dd and partimage instead. Before sharing clone images, make sure that *all* the licenses permit this.
