More on Mozilla Uninstall Dependencies

When trying to install latest rpms of Mozilla I get the following error message:

file /usr/lib/libnspr4.so from install of mozilla-nspr-1.6-0.9.0 conflicts with file from package mozilla-nspr-1.2.1-26

for all of the packages. Now, I DID uninstall the older Mozilla, which was suggested in another thread, but I uninstalled it through "Add/Remove Packages". I would have thougt that would have taken care of all the dependencies--apparently not. Can I just delete those files? Seems risky, but I don't know what else to do.

I am installing mozilla, mozilla-nspr and mozilla-nss since those seemed to be required for the whole package. Those were the packages I uninstalled as well.

I forgot to mention that I'm using RH 9. Also the error message I reported was actually more like six--there were two or so conflicting files indicated for each package. Not exactly the easy uninstall/install others seem to be having, which makes me wonder if the Add/Remove Package app is flawed.

Thanks!

well, it turns out that the RPMS I found on Mozilla's ftp server were created by someone other than Mozilla. After I found Mozilla's regular tarball installer and it ran just fine--not a hitch. So it appears I just got a hold of some RPMs that weren't put together very well.
