I need to setup a monitoring system which can do the below things (something like zabbix, opennms)
Monitoring Services
OS (System health check etc..)
JBOSS
Tomcat
SMTP (sendmail)
Network devices (SNMP)
HTTP (apache)
Web URLs (with get and post method)
I use Groundwork Community edition (build around Nagios) to great satisfaction. It's easy to install, deploy and configure and does all I need it to do.
