Module loading problem with kernel 2.6.0-test11

Hello,

I am having trouble loading any module with my new kernel, 2.6.0-test11 from kernel.org
I am using LinuxFromScratch, which came with linux 2.4.22, and I need to update to 2.6.0-test11 for my video capture card.
I have installed saa7134-0.2.9, and the modules are in the correct directory, but it cannot find them, even after a `depmod -a`.
Please help me fix this problem...
Some outputs to help diagnose:

Code:
[root@pvr ~]# lsmod
Module Size Used by
[root@pvr ~]# modprobe soundcore
[root@pvr ~]# lsmod
Module Size Used by
soundcore 7360 0

[root@pvr ~]# modprobe saa7134
FATAL: Module saa7134 not found.

Hello,
I don't have the same card as you, but I installed a patch from here: http://bytesex.org/patches/
to get the Video4Linux2 stuff working on my box (with 2.6.0-test11).

Here's what my modules look like:
tbranham@hal9000:/lib/modules/2.6.0-test11/kernel/drivers/media/video$ ls
adv7170.ko cpia.ko msp3400.ko stradis.ko tuner.ko w9966.ko
adv7175.ko cpia_pp.ko mxb.ko tda7432.ko tvaudio.ko zr36016.ko
bt819.ko cpia_usb.ko saa5249.ko tda9840.ko v4l1-compat.ko zr36050.ko
bt856.ko dpc7146.ko saa7110.ko tda9875.ko v4l2-common.ko zr36060.ko
btcx-risc.ko hexium_gemini.ko saa7111.ko tda9887.ko video-buf.ko zr36067.ko
bttv.ko hexium_orion.ko saa7114.ko tea6415c.ko videocodec.ko
bw-qcam.ko ir-kbd-gpio.ko saa7134/ tea6420.ko videodev.ko
c-qcam.ko ir-kbd-i2c.ko saa7185.ko tuner-3036.ko vpx3220.ko
tbranham@hal9000:/lib/modules/2.6.0-test11/kernel/drivers/media/video/saa7134$ ls
saa7134.ko

No trouble after the patch...
...at least with the TV card

Hope that helps.

you are running a 2.6 kernel, but have you updated all modprobe software(i use modutils-2.4.25-10). Read the docs in the kernel tree.
Somehow you have .o files and where one should expect .ko files (kernel modules) how did they get there? You did do a kernel compile, didn't you?
Oh nevermind this is an acient post, I'm wasting my time.
