modprobe problem


When i run vic i get in /var/log/messages this:
modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module char-major-81-1
modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module char-major-81-2
modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module char-major-81-3

and when i try to start transmit:

VIDIOCMCAPTURE: request dimensions too big

and vic crash...

What can i do???

major block 81 is for video devices. i.e /dev/video0, /dev/video1 etc... for each sub number. what are you trying to play from? is this a webcam? have you tried loading the drivers already?

Yes i'am trying to put a webcam running...
i dont have installed the drivers because:
1šI dont know how...
2šThe webcam looks good with the xawtv
Soo do i need to install the drivers???

Its a Terratec TerraCam USB Pro.. and i can find the drivers for it...
