modprobe: FATAL: Error inserting apm


Can anyone give me short explanation on whats the difference between
apm and acpi?
Apparently ,I am using apci on my Toshiba laptop but I am getting this error
in my syslog file:

May 12 23:10:11 spark modprobe: FATAL: Error inserting apm (/lib/modules/2.6.3-1-686/kernel/arch/i386/kernel/apm.ko): No such device

Any suggestions or explanations would be appreciated.

I'm getting the same problem with Kernel-2.6.8.1... I'd like to find some answers on this as well

That was simple enough...

I had acpci support compiled in the kernel, since acpci was enabled first, apm could not run.
