I have this modem and when I used RH9 I installed by this way:

Code:
make clean
make 537
make install
I didn't use the RH specific ones, it only worked with 'raw' drivers I got from this site. Check for non-distro-specific drivers.

Could you please show all of the steps you took (in the exact order you took them?) That might help find a solution, as you may be doing something wrong upon compile / install.

Regards,
WIllie.

first of all i installed the kernel tuning software from the RED HAT cd as specified and asked for in the read me file

2. then i extracted the driver file
3.then i cd into the extracted file
4. then i entered the command "make clean"
5. then i entered the command "make 537"
6. then i entered the command "make install"

but "make install" did not execute completely and the above error occured

Were you following any specific instructions? Most programs that need be compiled will have a configure script so you can compile appropriately for your system. Failing to run the configure script will prvent 'make' from working. Once you are in the extracted driver directory, try to run ./configure.

Regards,
Willie.
