mmm instruction help...

Two simple questions:

1) I type in bash:

Code:
ls -l
and it works ok? Then I type:

Code:
ls -l | find -maxdepth 1 -type d
and I get the result but it seems that the "-l" parameter didn't work...why?

2) I searched all the man in Linux but I didn't find anything...can someone tell me how to display (with ls typically) these info about a file?

- name
- date of last update
- permissions of user and group

Really thanks!

Hi,

1) simply type:
Code:
find . -maxdepth 1 -type d
and it should work. Or if you to keep "ls -l" formatting output, type:
Code:
ls -l | grep ^d -
2) for the name: ls
for permission, and last update, "ls -l" display them
