mldonkey...

Why are my downloads so slow in mldonkey. I have broadband and my download settings are...

dynamic_slots=false
loop_delay 0
max_connections_per_second 10
max_hard_download_rate 30
max_hard_upload_rate 20
max_opened_connections 200
max_upload_slots 5
No-limit IPs 127.0.0.1

my average upload rate is 7-10kbs and my downloading rate is a pathetic 1kbs, the most i have seen so far is 6kbs. Surely mldonkey is better than this.

I found a pretty nice web page that goes through some tweaking tips step-by-step if anyone else is having the same problem that i was having. I am sure i wasn't the only one

I have alot of mp3 files that i would like to share on mldonkey, but i don't know how to go about setting it up. I was looking for some kind of sharing file and found shared_files_new.ini. I added the directory to which my mp3 files are located. Did i do this right? If not how do i share files?

Make sure your firewall is not blocking the ports you want to use. WhenI fixed those ports my dl max shot up from 5 kbps -> ~ 70 kbps
