mkisofs and PSX cd

Hello. I wanted to play a playstation disc I own on my computer, problem is, when I do, the drive is very loud, so I figured I'd do what I did for Diablo II and copy the image to my hdd(personal use, non-distrbuted) to have less sound problems.
When I use mkisofs -o /res/iso/Final\ Fantasy\ IV.iso /mnt/cdrom after I've mounted my disc under iso9660.
This doesn't work like it did with Diablo, it returns "cannot read from '/mnt/cdrom/sound/battle.str'
The disc is perfectly unscratched. Can someone help me out?

It was, unfortunatly I problem ripping the image in the first place. I found out that's because psx cd's are mode 2. You use:
Code:
cdrdao read-cd --read-raw --datafile [ripped-image-name/dest.] --device [your-device] --driver generic--mmc-raw [ripped-image's-TOC-name/dest]
For example:
Code:
cdrdao read-cd --read-raw --datafile /res/iso/Final\ Fantasy\ VIII.bin --device /dev/hdc --driver generic-mmc-raw /res/iso/Final\ Fantasy\ VIII.toc
_bows_down_to_self_
I don't think you need the toc unless you're going to burn it again, so I just delete mine.
