Mkfs gone

I'm running Novell SUSE Enterprise Server 10.0. I want to format a SATA drive, but when I type mkfs.exe3 /dev/sda1 it says command not found. If I change to cd /sbin I still get the same message. What do I need to do?

Looks like a typing error:

mkfs.exe3
Try mkfs.ext3 instead.
