mixer


i need a mixer because i think my ports are muted. ive been using rexima, and have turned the volume all the way up on everything but i dont see an option to unmute the sound. any suggestions on an intuitve mixer?

Try aumix.
When in text mode it has a text interface and while in X a nice x interface.

Otherwise you can try lmixer or smixer, which are both for text mode and specially usefull for using them as commands at boot time.
