Missing Separator?
 

I have been trying to install some Linux software, particularly KPopup, but I have had a similar problem with LinPopup and KxICQ (although I have found RPMs for those, so I have been able to install them).

The problem is, when I am installing by compiling, instead of from RPMs, after I type "make", the error "missing separator" is eventually encountered. Sometimes (as with KPopup), it is encountered right from the start: other times, it compiles a long way before getting to the errors. It does get there eventually.

I have double checked to see whether I have installed GCC, and I have. Still the same problem. Any ideas?

well how about giving us some more information. what you've described is a c code error, and there's utterly nothing anone can say about it without the error logs and such. i'd say just got from rpms

Where do I find the error logs?
