Missing: libass.so.3

Hi, I installed Fedora 11, about 2 months ago and ever since then I have not been able to play files that use the mpeg4-ACC decoder because it relies on gstreamer-plugins-bad which requires libass.so.3, however, even after installing libass the needed package is not there. This is the error I receive when trying to install gstreamer-plugins-bad:
Quote:

libass.so.3 is needed by package gstreamer-plugins-bad-0.10.11-4.fc11.i586 (rpmfusion-free)
I have all the standard Fedora 11 repos enabled and also those for Planent CCRMA. Is there some other repo I am missing or is this just a 'hidden' package?

# yum install gstreamer-plugins-bad

I get this :

It seems, you are missing the "rpmfusion-free-updates" repo ...
or it is disabled. If you have it ( it is a separate file in
/etc/yum.repos.d/ ) then please set : enabled=1 or reinstall
this file → http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/...ble.noarch.rpm

I used packages from atrpms for CentOS 5.3 and all works without problems. I am not happy with RPMForge/RPMFusion dependencies selection.

If you go that way, you will most likely need to remove lot of packages first to make it work.

Thanks knudfl,

I can't believe I didn't think of that a long time ago. I reinstalled the RPMFusion's repo package and everything works now! Come to find out I had already installed those packages anyways, but they were conflicting with some other piece of data given by RPMFusion. Anyways, it's all working now.

Thanks again.

The answer of knudfl solved almost the same problem for me, so I am happy to thank again by this first post of mine here.
