Missing dependency updating compiz-fusion on Fedora 8
I just upgraded from Fedora 7 to Fedora 8 on my Intel Core2 Duo system.
When I run YUM and attempt to update the compiz-fusion package, I get the following error: 15:56:13 : Error in Dependency Resolution 15:56:13 : Missing Dependency: beryl-plugins >= 0.2.1 is needed by package beryl-settings What can I do that will resolve these dependencies so I can update the package? |
If you have beryl installed, try uninstalling it first and then use yum to install compiz-fusion.

I removed all packages related to beryl. This allowed me to install the compiz-fusion update. Now when I start up the system, I have no decorations on any of my windows. When I run yum it indicates that there are no beryl packages that are available for installation.
How can I restore the functionality I had with Fedora 7 where I had window decorations and the features that existing in Beryl like application switching and focusing to the desktop? |
