missing config files in ubuntu 10.10

hello everyone,

regardless of the fact that editing these files is necessary for good functioning of
my system, my standard 10.10 ubuntu installation seems to lack these files:

XF86config
Xorg.conf
/etc/printcap

am i the only one who witnesses this in ubuntu?

perhaps i need to apt-get install some things?

knowledge about these files is important for my study.

peace,

digi

Current X does not use an xorg.conf file; it depends on a system scan at startup.
