Migrate From CentOS-6 to CentOS-7 - Not Inplace

I've been tasked with doing some preliminary testing and checking concerning the above migration. Almost initially I've run into some issues that effect our custom configuration and they are:

The use of the old /etc/profile.d for custom user profiles
The use of chkconfig.
The use of the NFS file systems on CentOS-6 being mounted on CentOS-7.

I need some help locating documentation explaining the changes.

TIA
Edward

Best is to read over the migration guide, then set up a test system and try it out.

the biggest issue will be learning the new SystemD

and the "targets"

but for backwards compatibility init scripts are sort of still read

but

port them to the new system , you will be better off

Thank you for your responses.

I am going to mark this solved as I can see I'll be reading for awhile. I'll open a new questions if another comes up.

TIA
