MIDI to regular music?

Is there a Linux program out there that can convert MIDI files into music that could be played on a stereo?

This may work for you... It will convert midi to wav then you can use cdrecord to make an audio cd from the converted .wav files.

Yes - there is an app called 'timidity'. If properly set up you can play midi files from the command line. I think there are also graphical interfaces for it. I think most of the popular distros will include it.
