metacity title bar

Hi there...

I am using metacity on Arch linux and wish to have my buttons on the left
eg: close, minimize, maximize: in the metacity string via gconf

I created the string since there wasnt one
eg: apps/metacity/general/button_layout

But as some of you are probably groaning about this, yes my problem is that this string has no schema. So my question is where do I go from here? I have really googled alot about this and gotten this far but I still have my problem. If there is another place in gconf-editor or dconf-editor or gconftool-2 or dconftool that I need to set then please tell me where to do that. If not, I obviously have to create a schema... but I don't know how to do that.

Thanks for your help.
